• Various investment vehicles are available to assist in reaching financial goals such as retirement or saving for a child’s education.

• For many investors, mutual funds have become the investment of choice. In your own words, describe why investors purchase mutual funds.

• If your last name begins with L-Z, respond to the following:

• List some personal factors that might lead some investors to emphasize income rather than growth in their investment planning, and visa-versa.
